I’m Writing, Directing, Producing, and Acting in my own Short Film?!

I’m thrilled to share that I’ve officially secured a budget and am diving headfirst into creating my very own short film! This project is a dream come true, and I’m taking on multiple roles—writing, directing, producing, and even acting—to bring this vision to life. My ultimate goal? To submit the film to festivals and share my story with the world.
One of the biggest hurdles in filmmaking is funding, and I’m proud to say I’ve crossed that milestone. Securing a budget for my short film wasn’t easy, but with careful planning, a solid pitch, and a clear vision, I was able to make it happen. Whether you’re crowdfunding, applying for grants, or self-funding, having a detailed budget plan is key to getting your project off the ground.
My primary goal for this short film is to submit it to film festivals. Festivals are an incredible platform for emerging filmmakers to showcase their work, connect with industry professionals, and gain recognition. I’m researching festivals that align with my film’s genre and theme, and I’m preparing to navigate the submission process. Beyond festivals, I’m excited to share this project with a wider audience and hopefully inspire others to pursue their filmmaking dreams.
